Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562 Training Center
Project Overview
The Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562 Training Center located in Earth City, Missouri is designed to help service over 4500 local members and acts as a training facility for those who serve in the plumbing and mechanical industries.
Jarrell was honored to partner on this 2-floor construction project that included an apprentice training center with multiple classrooms as well as a hands-on work area. The following equipment was installed during this project:
- Air cooled chillers
- Air handlers
- Boiler skid & pump skid
- Welding booths
- Dust collection system
Our Approach
This project represented a unique example of pre-fabrication and skid capabilities for Jarrell. The boiler package, hot water pump and chill water pump skids were all pre-fabricated at Jarrell's shop in a controlled environment. All of the necessary piping was built on a pre-hung rack system for easy transport and placement. This not only ensured the integrity and cleanliness of the systems, it shortened installation time and removed delays associated with project downtime.
As a training center, Jarrell was challenged to provide solutions for both the operations of the building and to accommodate the necessary systems for members to train on. This required a variety of systems to be built and installed for training purposes.
