This project included a complete rebuild of one of the two cooling towers at local Class A Office building, City Place One in Creve Coeur. This extremely challenging project included the demo and replacement of internals to extend the life of these cooling towers and estimated 25 additional years. The tower was gutted, removing corroded materials, and required a thorough cleaning of the cooling coil. The majority of the replacement parts were custom built made with corrosion resistant stainless steel. The cooling fans were switched from belt drive to direct drive fans set up on variable frequency drives, improving reliability. Even small details such as stainless steel “Jeep” hinges being add for easy access for maintenance. This much needed face lift  to these early 70’s Mammoth cooling towers was lead by Jarrell Pipe Fitter, Pat Skiljan.
